Reiki (pronounced “ray-key”) is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Originating in Japan, the word Reiki means spiritually guided life force energy. It helps a person’s natural ability to heal on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels. Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe method that everyone can use. It is not a religion or affiliated with any religious culture but represents the oneness of all that exists. Usui Holy Fire Reiki is both powerful and gentle and provides purification, healing, empowerment and guidance. Reiki energy comes from the Higher Power, which exists on a higher dimension than the physical world we are familiar with. When viewed clairvoyantly, Reiki energy appears to come down from above and to enter the top of the practitioners head after which it flows through the body and out the hands.  Reiki will help all those that want to be helped for we all have free will.  Reiki energy is given in good intent and will continue to work long after the session.

On a scientific understanding, an important part of the functioning of the human body is its electrical nature.  There are electrical currents flowing through the nerves, through the blood, and through all the organs and cells.  They are a very necessary part of our life sustaining process.  When we are ill or stressed the electrical currents can become weak.  Reiki practitioners are able to produce strong pulsing electromagnetic fields through their hands.  When the hands are placed above the client the healthy frequencies are introduced to unhealthy electromagnetic fields, thus helping the organs and glands to find a balanced state. Client remains fully clothed during this service. Client has complete Free will to receive the healing energy.  Client may choose to have the practitioners hands lightly placed upon the body or choose to have the hands hovering above.
